Minvielle 821-2050 Regular services to be conducted 25th Annual Piano Recital The twenty-fifth annual piano recital by the pupils of Mrs. Jack Twiname which was held on Dec. 13th was well attended and well received by everyone present. Both solos and duets were played by all pupils and those taking part were as follows: Anna Baas, Claudette Lauzon, Brian Cars- cadden, Brett Middlemiss, Brian Graham, Maureen Graham, Michael Graham, Kerri Middle- miss, Lynn MacFarlane, Jenni- fer Freda, Madeleine Ruest, Kenny Carscadden, Peter Lati- Social Notes Russell Senior Citizens Friday night Euchre was very well attended, considering the cold weather. Mac & Ida Wade, two very faithful and efficient players were missed. Their car refused to move. 1st Prize Winners, Men's, Mr. Russell Paul; Women's, Mrs. Greta McKeown; 2nd _ Prize Winners, Women's, Mrs. Nellie Wolff and Mrs. Lorna Morris, (tied); Men's, Mr. Stewart Stanley; Door Prize, Mrs. Isabel Steele. We invite anyone interested to our Friday Euchre at 8:30 p.m. Join with us at the Russell Legion Hall. The cost is only 75¢c each, includes light lunch, coffee and a friendly smile. A successful Euchre party, January 20, sponsored by the Russell Women's Institute at the New Community Centre was held and all money will be used to purchase dishes for the hall. Thanks to Ola J. Atkinson of Ottawa and Mr. and Mrs. John Morrice of Russell for their kind donation to the Review. Mrs. J. I. Steele returned home from hospital, Tuesday, January 20, and is quite active again. Mr. and Mrs. Roger Warner are spending a couple of weeks in sunny Florida. Thomas Kinchen an old Pro hockey player will have to hang up his newly sharpened old skates of 30 years or more. He tangled with a mouse and now has a fractured ankle or heel -- in a cast. Tom wanted to skate on artificial ice in the new Russell Arena and take part in the Carnival in February. Mrs. Evelyn Savage is home from hospital and getting out in the daily events again. Mr. George Brown is impro- ving after taking ill while visiting his daughter, Willa in Saskat- chewan. Several members of the Community were treated for frost burn during our recent sub-zero temperatures.
