Top Talent For Crafts By Woman IRON BRIDGE — Snow sculpturing is just one of Mrs. William Burbadge's many hobbies. A prize winner last month at the North Shore third winter carnival competition was a house for the three little pigs. Mrs. Burbadge has been called Iron Bridge's most imaginative woman. She has many talents and everything she starts, she finishes to the last detail. She has a flair for free hand drawing. Sewing, knitting, crocheting and embroidery work have been a delight to her since she was a child. Mrs. Burbidge does copper tooling and draws her own designs. Her first music book had a design drawn and colored depicting what the music was about. This music book was shown, by her music teacher at all schools on the Manitoulin Island. This versatile craftsman has been a successful competitor with floats, in community night parades, at Iron Bridge, and Thessalon for a number of years. She has won many prizes at the agriculture fairs for 10 years. A new member in the Horticultural Society last year, she was among the top three prize winners. Mrs. Burbadge does all her own gardening. THE BIG BAD WOLF is seen going down the chimney and the little pig coming through a window. For this sculpture, Mrs. W. Burbadge received top prize at the carnival. Photo by Tulloch
