Ed McCaig student minister summers 1965-1966 Isn't that a little beauty. We love old churches. This one at Otterlake was built May 24, 1893 and was at that time a Methodist Church. The corner stone was laid by a Mrs. D.W. Ross whose husband was a lumberman. This church is open and is now a United Church in the summer. Mr. McCaig, student minister is in charge for the holidays. Rev. Ray Anderson takes the services at other times. The church is not used in winter as there is a heating problem, so church is held in the school during the real cold weather. A movement is on toot to try and raise funds for a basement and furnace. We wonder about electric heating?? Also how many United Church members are in the area support it.
