- This is a black and white photo of Reverend John Tate. Tate was the minister at the original Anglican Church of the Redeemer on Algoma Street East, in Thessalon. He performed the dedication of the Thessalon Cenotaph in 1926.
- Notes
- John Tate and his wife were born in County Durham on March 5, 1855 and died October 11, 1941. He was a vicar in Thessalon for 18 years.
John Tate and his wife arrived in Thessalon in 1911. As a former architect and stonemason he drew up the plans for the edifice of the current Anglican Church in Thessalon.
