- Description
- This is a black and white photo of the first Presbyterian church built in Thessalon, located on the east end of Park Street. It is a white wood framed building that has a square turret style corner structure. The windows and doors are pointed arch style.
- Notes
- Opening services for this church were held on January 3, 1889, by Reverend Professor Grigg.
In approximately 1917 after both the Methodists and the Presbyterians had both built large churches, local industry fell on hard times and the two congregations decided to worship together in the Presbyterian Church.
This church later became a Baptist church.
