- This is a black and white photo of Jim Town. He is dressed in a three piece suit and is seated behind a desk. On the desk there are papers, books, a telephone, and ink jars.
- Notes
- Mr. Town was originally from Orillia, Ontario and came to Thessalon in 1903. He was a business partner of
J. A. Dobie. When Mr. Dobie retired J. Town took over the business and ran it as J. Town and Company. He played hockey for Thessalon and was a big supporter of all sporting activities in the area.
Mr. Town served on council and as a school trustee and was also a member of the Dyment Lodge and the IOOF. Records also indicate that he was the manager of a general store in Thessalon. - Date of Original
