This colorized photo precedes the other photo of the Saginaw mill and is taken while the boiler house is under construction. One of the smoke stacks is laying on some trestlework to the right of the boiler house, which is still under construction. It appears that a gin pole will be used to erect the stack. The roof will be completed when the two stacks are in place.

The second photo is taken from the shore to the right of the boiler room in this view. Both stacks have been raised and the roof complete.
