- Description
- This is a black and white photo of a young girl, Jean Bird, in front of the Thessalon grist mill. She is dressed in a knee length dress and coat, a hat, and white shoes.
Behind her is the grist mill. The high foundation floor appears to be made of cement, while the upper portion appears to be made of wood. The building in the right portion of the photo appears to be what is now the post office.
- Notes
- Notes read "Grist Mill located beside the Thessalon House later rebuilt as the I.O.O.F. Hall. The grist mill was built about 1917 and ran by Mike McGuire. Ground grain for a very few years. Girl in picture is Jean Bird."
