Thessalon, Bell Telephone Ladies, 1929

This is a black and white photo of two women in the Bell Telephone Exchange on Main Street Thessalon. The light-haired woman standing in the centre of the photo is Bell manager Mrs. Mary Bell Currie. The younger dark-haired female sitting in front of a switchboard is reportedly Miss G. Gagne. The work space is a narrow one, with shelves of wire cables in the right background. Miss Gagne wears a headset and speaks into a horn-like speaker.
