- Description
- This is a black and white photo of a large three story building with fifteen men standing in front. The photo shows at least two entrances to the buildings and hanging outside of each door and beside some of the windows appear to be blankets and coats.
The second story façade sports a variety of words describing items available in the store such as Groceries, Dry Goods, Paint and Oils, Stoves, and Flour and Feed.
- Notes
- Notes indicate that the building was purchased in 1888 by William Keetch and it was a general store that sold a wide variety of goods. He ran the store until his son William Junior took over. The Keetch family originally came from the Newmarket area and Mr. Keetch had stores in Bruce Mines and Fort William.
This building was sometimes referred to as Keetch Hall and used for a number of functions over the years. These functions included concerts, a spare warehouse, and apartments. - Date of Original
