- Description
- This is a black and white winter photo showing part of the Main street in approximately the 1930's.
On the left side of the photo Burk`s Garage can be seen and on the right, the gas station where an Imperial sign is shown.
- Notes
- Notes indicate that the Ojibway Tea Room was next to Burk`s Garage and that it was run by Vern(Patterson) Wilson and then Evelyn(Bridge) Burk. Next to the Tea Room was Samuel Cole`s grocery store. Burk`s garage is noted to have burned in 1939. The gas station on the right was owned by George Patterson and later Bill Phillips while it was operated by Len Tooke, whose wife then ran the Tea room.
