- This is a black and white photo of a group of eleven females dressed in period costumes to celebrate Thessalon's 60th anniversary. Many of the women are wearing long skirts with white blouses. Seven of them wear bonnets that tie under the chin. Two others wear flat style hats.

Some of the excitement surrounding the jubilee stemmed from the local harbour's capability to handle ocean size freighters, a growing tourism trade, and the expansion of a Hydro project along the Mississauga River. - Date of Original
