With respect to Crawford's Lumber camp on Beaver Creek, it's north on highway 129 just north of the Bill Phillips Camp road turnoff. Shantymen and Sodbusters book provides a detailed description.

Beaver Creek is north of Thessalon in Wells TWP and is south of the north end of Melwel Road. It starts between Rock and Osborne Lake, then empties into the Mississagi River at Goldendburg.

I have visited many old lumber camps, however, I could not locate this one. It might be on private property in Wells TWP along Beaver Creek.
