- This is a black and white photo of the Grey and Simcoe Foresters Regiment on parade in Thessalon on August 2nd, 1941. The regiment is shown in full uniform on Main Street directly in front of the O'Connor Hotel. The soldiers are carrying firearms and rucksacks.
The local bakery can be seen in the background on the left side of the street, as well as a grocer and meat store. Spectators line both sides of the street.
