- This is a black and white photo of a group of six men preparing to cut blocks of ice near the Thessalon Fish Dock, circa 1920.
The men are wearing heavy clothing including high laced up boots, hats, gloves or mitts. Four of the men are holding large toothed saws needed to cut through the ice. These saws have large wooden handles that are perpendicular to the shaft of the saws. Two unidentified buildings can be seen in the background of the photograph.
