- This is a black and white photo of the 57 local men who enlisted with the Sault Ste. Marie and Sudbury Regiment in 1940. The photo shows the men in full uniform prior to their departure for training at Niagara-on-the-Lake.
- Notes
- Notes indicate that they gave an impromptu parade in Thessalon up and down Main Street after receiving their uniforms, under the direction of Lt. Alex Denman and Sgt. Mjr. Ewan of Sault Ste. Marie.
