Mrs. Weir was district president and her secretary was Mrs. Leonard Trivers " I always recognized Mrs. Triver's ability," said Mrs. Weir " and I encouraged her to accept the different offices." At the district dinner given in honor of Mrs. Trivers, following her election to the provincial president, she paid high tribute to Mrs. Weir for helping ner to reach this important post. "She always shoved me into things," said Mrs. Trivers. "Now I'm grateful for the push". Mrs. Weir now has almost a quarter century of W.I. work to her credit and has no intention of stopping yet. Besides the Royal branch, she organized a branch at Nesterville, Wharncliffe, Little Rapids, Community, Queen Elizabeth, Princess Margaret and Sowerby, These communities have been better places in which to live because of Mrs. Weir's iniative, Mrs. Weir became a life member of the Queen Elizabeth Branch in November, 1964. The occasion took place at a dinner held at the Royal Hotel in Sault Ste. Marie.
