Full Text: 50 YEARS AGO July 7,1930

Water is a foot higher on the Sault-Sudbury trunk road between Iron Bridge and Blind River today than it was on Saturday, according to information received by G. J. Lamb, district engineer of the Department of Northern Development, who reports that it is still possible to get through with motor cars, with the assistance of teams supplied by the Carpenter-Hixon Lumber Company.

The rains of the last couple of days have again raised to the high point of a week ago the waters of the Mississauga River, which has overflowed its banks in this section, where the road skirts it for some distance.
