- This is a black and white photo of a young Uncle Percy and Grandfather Gardiner making maple sugar. Uncle Percy holds a pail in his hand. A tarped lean-to can be seen in the middle of the photo.
A pile of wood ready for a fire is just in front of Percy and fallen tree limbs can be seen in both foreground and background as well as stands of leafless trees.
