- This is a black and white portrait photograph of Nelson Allen with two of his children. Baby Leonard is seated on his father's right knee, while young Evelyn stands beside her father, her right hand on his knee.
The children are dressed up in light colored clothing while Nelson wears a white shirt and dark tie, suit jacket, pants and shoes.

" Nelson Edwin Allen married Irene Margaret Ellen Mason. They had four children: Nellie born 1925, died 1925; Evelyn (above) born Feb. 21, 1935, Wm. Leonard (above) born Jan. 28, 1928 and John Harvey born Jan. 23, 1930."
