- "Retired Stone Mason - Herb Allen, formerly of Livingston Creek, now of Thessalon, will celebrate his 86th birthday Monday. Mr. Allen has been a resident of the district for 82 years when he landed at Blind River with his parents who came here from Wellington County to a farm in the Iron Bridge area."
