- This article taken from the North Shore Sentinel as of August 2, 2000 describes Iron Bridge's participation in the Relay 2000 which was organized in honor of the official opening of the 16,400 km Trans Canada Trail.
Water was carried from the Arctic, the Pacific and the Atlantic Ocean as a symbol of the coast to coast to coast joining.
