Description
This sepia tone photo was taken on the day of the opening of the Thompson Bridge at Dean Lake in 1908. The bridge is lined with local townspeople and school age children while the official opening was performed by local M.P.P. Albert Grigg of Bruce Mines.

Mr. Grigg is standing toward the middle of the bridge wearing a derby hat and an overcoat with a fur collar. A large flag has been suspended from the upper girders of the bridge.
