Description
This is a black and white photo of Slate Falls along the Mississagi River near Iron Bridge. The construction of the Red Rock Dam saw the demise of Slate Falls.

Two men are visible in the photo out in the middle of the river below the falls. Raw logs are piled in the middle of the stream of water.

Due to the construction of a dam these falls no longer exist. The photo shows the size of the falls and the amount of white water they produced.
