this is NOT the "original" iron bridge.It was taken out by ice not long after it was built.
This is not a picture of the original bridge.The first bridge was made of wood. It was built in 1885 by John Boyd. The wooden bridge was swept away by the spring flood on the Mississaugi River the following year. It is the second bridge but the original bridge made of iron. It was built in 1886.
