I had never seen this photo before, and what a chuckle to see it now . . . so many years later. I remember making this outfit. You can't see it from the photo but there is a ruffle at the bottom of this dress and a pair of matching 'knickers' with ruffles to give the illusion that there is a double ruffle on the dress. At the time I thought that was so clever, and a real fashion statement.
