VERDON, Claire — Passed away peacefully at home, after a long battle with brain cancer, on Friday, March 11, 2005 at the age of 62 years. Claire is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Pierre Verdon; her loving daughters Roxanne Verdon-Laporte (Martin Laporte), and Joanne Verdon and her cherished twin granddaughters Jessica and Tracey-Anne Laporte. Daughter of Leo Fortin and of the late Edith Fortin. Sister of Rene Fortin and Marcel Fortin. She will be sadly missed by nieces, nephews and the many friends she has made over the years. Claire was a long time employee of the Royal Bank for over 30 years. Claire's family would like to thank everyone for their generous support during the time of her illness. A celebration of Claire's life will beheld at St. Joseph's Church, 2757 St. Joseph Blvd., Orleans, today, March 15 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre Foundation.
