SCAPPATURA, Darlene (nee de la Chevrotiere) — Our beautiful and gentle Darlene passed away on January 1, 2005. Her death brought an end to a two year struggle with ovarian cancer. A battle she fought with both composure and dignity. Although at times overwhelmed by this horrible disease, her focus was always on the well being of her family and friends. As she was all her life, she continued to be a pillar of support and comfort to everyone around her. A loving and generous person, she was an inspiration to everyone who was fortunate enough to know her. She will always be remembered for her warmth and kindness. She leaves behind her loving husband of 25 years, Edward (Ted), her two children who gave her much joy and happiness, daughter Jessica and son Justin. Predeceased by her father Albert, she is survived by her mother Qubee, sisters, Denise Parissien (Ron), Rachelle (Brian), Jo-An Vaillancourt (Terry), brothers Gerald (Virginia), Gary (Joanne), Adrian, Terry (Rhonda) and Dan (Patty). Also missing her are many nieces, and nephews. She was 49 years old.
