- School picnic at U.S.S.#3 Nenagh (Egremont & Normanby) in Normanby Township, Grey County, just west of Highway 6 on the 2nd Concession.
From left to right:
Bridget Ryan; Archie McPhee (1857-1949) (Long Archie), son of Neil McPhee; Nellie McPhee (1866-1953), daughter of Malcolm McPhee; unknown; unknown; unknown; Agnes McPhail (1890-1954); Jim Elder, husband of Effie McPhee, daughter of Hector McPhee and sister of Annie McPhee; Janet McPhee (1859-1950), daughter of Neil McPhee on Conc. 3 Lot 51; Bill Haas, husband of Annie McPhee; Annie McPhee Haas (1890-1944), daughter of Hector McPhee; Charlie Wilson.
Archie Walls was the Nenagh school teacher at the time of this photograph.
- Notes
- According to one of the school children, a McPhee who remembers the picnic, Agnes Macphail spoke to the group from a platform. The McPhee extended family tended to vote Liberal, but had voted for Agnes Macphail and were happy to have her at this picnic.
