I love this picture! Mostly because "Bill" Slack, the sculptor who created this outdoor piece, turned out to be my neighbour, three doors down, on my street! (We both live on Valewood Place, and I only moved into my house there in 2012. I accidentally found out about this sculpture when he first called on us when we moved in.) Bill is a very kind and thoughtful neighbour. He is the first out with his snow blower to clear off everyone's sidewalk in the winter, and he volunteers every year to raise money for the Heart & Stroke Foundation, and then does their 2-day bike race to earn the donations. Pretty neat for a man who is in his mid-60's! It is nice to see a newer picture of the sculpture it is all covered in rust now (April, 2017), and the last time I looked, the plaque for the piece was loose and leaning against the base of the work.
