Open House '71 General Information Waterloo Lutheran University is a liberal arts university with an enrollment of 2,500 undergraduate and 200 graduate students. The undergraduate students are enrolled in the Faculty of Arts & Science, and the School of Business & Economics. On completion of their studies, the University grants a General or Honours Bachelor of Arts degree, or a General Bachelor of Science degree, depending upon the programme taken. Several departments also offer a Master of Arts programme. The Graduate School of Social Work offers the student the opportunity to earn a M.S.W. degree, while the Waterloo Lutheran Seminary offers the Master of Divinity degree. Parents' Lounge and Consultation Room Mezzanine of the Dining Hall All parents, and especially Freshmen Parents, are urged to visit with us here. The WLU Ladies Auxiliary will serve complimentary coffee and cookies, and senior resource people of the University will be available to chat with parents. The President, Student President, Academic Vice-President, Deans of Students, Registrar, Director of Financial Aid, the University Pastor, and others will all be here to visit with parents, answer questions, and chat informally. The Parents' Lounge is located in the Mezzanine of the Dining Hall. Library The library will be open all afternoon and tours are invited, especially of the two storey addition. Visitors are asked to be as quiet as possible as students may be studying. A display of photographs commemorating the 60th anniversary will be on show in the entrance. Residences Residences will be open all afternoon and parents are invited to visit. Parents arriving early may wish to take advantage of the buffet luncheon which will be served in the Dining Hall or Torque Room for $1.50 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The University Bookstore Will be open from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and you are invited to browse.
