A "Must" For Family And Friends! Family Day on Campus is open house day — Saturday, March 1st,. There's no such thing as having "seen it before" or "heard it before" because the campus skyline changes year by year. New buildings going up. Others planned. And the atmosphere? That changes, too, — because students now participate in decision making at both academic and administrative levels. Responsible? Come and see W L U students in action in the assembly, mini-class presentations, lab demonstrations and in producing a first rate Broadway hit show, "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum." On stage to greet you at the Family Assembly will be the university, parents association, and student council presidents, other officials, and Libbie Westland, "Miss Waterloo Lutheran University" who was voted "Miss Congeniality" by 30 queens from other Canadian universities. Climax of the assembly will be a recital by the Waterloo Lutheran University Choir of 45 voices directed by Prof. Walter Kemp. Featured will be Keith Knights, student bass-baritone who recently won great praise from the critics for his appearance with Eileen Shelle, W L U affiliate artist, in Menotti's comic opera "The Telephone." Between the arts building, library, and Willison Hall you'll see the steel work of the new five-storey Central Teaching Building to include classrooms, labs, and faculty offices made possible by generous support of many friends, including parents, and by good financial housekeeping at W L U Visit the library, too, because in it you'll find the reference room donated by W L U parents. Faculty, students, and staff wish to give you a memorable day on campus. Join us Saturday, March 1st.
