- Black and white photograph of a 1968 Waterloo Lutheran University Homecoming Parade float. The theme of the float is the upcoming 1969 Winter Carnival. It features a "Klondike Days" saloon, a snowbank, and Waterloo Lutheran University students. This float was also used in Toronto's 1968 College Bowl parade and Kitchener-Waterloo's 1968 Santa Claus parade.

- Wilfrid Laurier University is located in Waterloo, Ontario. It began in 1911 as the Evangelical Lutheran Seminary of Canada. In 1924 Waterloo College was established, providing courses in post-secondary education. In 1960 Waterloo College became Waterloo Lutheran University, and in 1973 changed its name to Wilfrid Laurier University.
