The Call of Waterloo College and Seminary Waterloo, Canada, October, 1931 ADMINISTRATION BUILDING The President's Personal Message To all the Brethren in the Church: Greetings ! With the belief that I am a partner with God and you in this venture of Christian education, I have entered upon this service of our Church. You have honored me with your confidence in calling me to this grave and great responsibility. It has been and shall continue to be my aspiration to be worthy of this trust. Apart from God I can do nothing. I look to Him for help and guidance. But neither can God, much less I, do much without your full-hearted and enthusiastic co-operation. A Christian who is not ready to work and give and sacrifice has no right to pray for help. You will be cheered to know that in spite of these hard times we have a larger enrollment of students in college and seminary than we had last year. May God bless our partnership and grant us to achieve our objective: to furnish our beloved Church in Canada with consecrated pastors and lay leaders, who will help to keep this country close to God. FRED B. CLAUSEN, President. THE COST OF EDUCATION Education is costly. According to a report published by the Dominion Bureau of Statistics the average current cost of instruction in a Canadian university, not counting the student's board and personal expenses, is about $494, and the total cost of accommodating one student for a year is about $600. Of this the student pays only $116. If we had 100 students the cost would be about $380 a student, and if we had all that we could accommodate-150—the cost would be only about $250. There are, therefore, two ways in which additional support can be given to Waterloo College and Seminary—by direct money contributions and by sending more students. REV. F. B. CLAUSEN President of College and Seminary Dean of Seminary DR. N. WILLISON, B.A., Libb.D. President of Board of Governors
