Rev. John Leonard Kirchhofer (1895-1976) attended Waterloo Lutheran Seminary and was ordained June 22, 1924 at St. Peters Brodhagen, Ontario. He served churches across Ontario until his retirement in October 1965. He helped establish German-Canadians after World War 2 and organized First Lutheran Church in Owen Sound, Ontario.
