- Black and white photograph of a stained glass window in St. John's Lutheran Church in Petwawa, Ontario. The window depicts Jesus with hands outstretched and the motto "Come Unto Me". The acknowledgement at the bottom reads "In loving memory of Rev. J. C. Jannau (1868-1930). Placed by the Ladies Aid."

This stained-glass window was installed by the Ladies Aid Society as a memorial for Reverend Jannau at St. John's Lutheran Church in Petawawa, Ontario. Reverend Jannau was struck and killed by a train, while crossing the tracks, on his way to St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Alice, Ontario on Palm Sunday in 1930.
Reverend Jannau (1868-1930) was born in Russia. He emigrated to Canada as a stowaway on a ship while fleeing the Bolshevik Revolution of 1917. He was ordained in 1925. During his career, he served a number of parishes in Ontario, including Denbigh, Alice, and Petawawa. - Inscriptions
