Morrisburg, Ont., Aug. 9th 1914. To the Reverend C.H Little:- Grace to you, and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. At a meeting of the United Councils of St. John's and St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Parish, Morrisburg, Ontario, held on the 9th day of August, 1914, you were chosen to become its Pastor. By authority and on behalf of said parish, we the undersigned do hereby now extend you a formal call, and earnestly urge upon you the acceptance of the same. As Pastor of the said parish you. will be required to preach and teach the pure Word of God, to administer the Sacra- ments, to instruct the young, to visit the sick and afflicted, to maintain Christian discipline, to supervise the schools and societies of the parish, and to perform all other duties of the Gospel Ministry, in accordance with the Confessions and usuages of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, and as becometh one called to the sacred office. In the name of the said St. John's and St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Parish, of Morrisburg, Ontario, we pledge you our love and esteem, and our hearty co-operation in the work of the Lord; and for your temporal support and comfort we are authorized by the said Parish to promise to pay you the sum of 1000.00 annually in monthly instalments, so long as you continue to be the Pastor, and to grant you the free use of St. Paul's parsonage in Morrisburg. You will be re- quired to preach in St. Paul's Church each Sunday forenoon and evening, and in St. John's Church each Sunday afternoon, or as may be mutually agreed upon.
