The monthly meeting of the Women's Missionary Society was held this evening at the

home of Miss Schultz with an attendance of fourteen.
Rev. Voelker opened the meeting with Prayer and Miss Martin read a portion of scripture.
The minutes were then read and adopted.
Miss Volkman one of the delegates to convention gave the following interesting report:
The 11th Annual Convention June 24/19 of the Lutheran Women's Missionary Societies of Central Canada met in Waterloo St. John's Lutheran church today, a large attendance of delegates were present from all parts of Ontario 24 in all and 21 responded.
The sessions opened at 9:30 a.m. The hymns "My faith looks up to thee" being sung which was followed in prayer by Rev. Beckman while it had been hoped the session would be concluded it was found impossible to complete all the work so it was continued next morning at the

seminary. Mrs. Mueller, President of St. John's W. M. Society read an address of welcome to the visiting delegates after which a short reception was held.
Rev. Voelker extended the greetings of the Canada Synod while Rev. Maurer of Kitchener extended the greetings of the Central Canada Synod.
Most encouraging reports were received from the treasurer Mrs. Becker and others.
At noon a luncheon was partaken of in the basement - which was fully enjoyed by all present.
The afternoon sessions were five interesting talks intermingled with musical numbers making up a most helpful and profitable afternoon.
The "Worth While Hour" was indeed full of interest papers being read by Mrs. Sorenson, Mrs. M. Hagey (Hamilton) and

Mrs. M. J. Beiber, Winnipeg.
It was moved and sec. that we accept a Junior Society it seems Waterloo is prepared to conduct in support another Missionary Society.
The expenses for delegates "equalization" amounts to $6.60.
We are requested to pay prompt.

Then from July 1st fees will be 20 C per month instead of 10 C. 10 C is for budget for United Lutheran Church
You will find particulars in constitution: it is expected that we pat quarterly 20th October being 1st payment (synodical 10 C)
Rev. Beckman announced that we are $19.00 short for Canada Lutheran. Some have neglected to pay up or do their part. Fifty Dollars is wanted in all.

The delegates were entertained in the evening to a missionary playlette entitled "A strange five o'clock tea" given by the W. M. Society of St. John's Church, the visitors were delighted with the production.
The society were assisted by Mrs. Thiel who gave dramatic readings in most pleasing style. Mrs. Hagey of Hamilton also delighted the delegates with a vocal solo while Miss Florence Mueller rendered a piano solo in true artistic style.
During the numbers short addresses were delivered by Rev. Hofstead, Rev. Hunt and Mrs. Haufman all from Chicago.
Might say lace and doilies were for sale all during the session made by our Christian Women in India. The neat sum of $70.00 was realized.
The members were all deeply

interested with the report and thanked Miss Volkman for same.
Moved by Miss Volkman sec. by Mrs. Kleindinst that we have our next meeting in July in shape of a picnic and the we pay this evening June and July.
Moved and seconded that Mrs. Schneider be a member of our society.
The delegates donated the 40 C carfare to society.
Miss Schultz was tendered a vote of thanks for the use of her home.
The meeting then closed with Lord's Prayer.
