MINUTES - 1985 ANNUAL MEETING WOMEN'S AUXILIARY OF WATERLOO LUTHERAN SEMINARY The annual meeting of the Women's Auxiliary of Waterloo Lutheran Seminary was held at St. John Lutheran Church, Waterloo, on Wednesday, September 25, 1985. The president, Mrs. Isabel Dotzenroth, called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. in the church auditorium, welcoming all those present, including two women from Morrisburg, and the past presidents. Mrs. Helen Chapman, program chairman, stressed the day was planned to provide information and christian fellowship. Assisting her on the committee were: Mrs. Esther Ruppenthal, Mrs. Dorothy Schaefer, and Mrs. Isabel Dotzenroth, ex-officio. Dr. Richard Crossman, Dean of the Seminary, welcomed the women on behalf of the seminary. He thanked us for all the support, and said that our prayers must have been answered, because there is a deeper sense of community in the seminary. He said in the new church the auxiliary will be even more important. He likened the women to the sunshine in the garden - a warm glow that shines behind us. Opening devotions were conducted by Mrs. Barbara Bowman Weatherall, a senior seminarian. She used Revelation 21 as her theme, dealing with newness, with the text "Behold I make all things new". She said newness is transformation - God is here in our world. "What newness is God making in our life?" BUSINESS SESSION 1.
