- Black and white negative of three women, representing the Prince Richard chapter of the Imperial Order Daughters of the Empire, presenting gifts to Waterloo Lutheran University. The gifts, for use in the new Theatre Auditorium, are a framed portrait of the Queen, the Union Jack flag and stand, and the Red Ensign and stand. Accepting the gifts are Dean Lloyd Schaus (far right) and President William Villaume. IODE members are Mrs. R. N. Hannigan, Mrs. W. J. Long, and Mrs. Willaim H. Birss.

- Wilfrid Laurier University is located in Waterloo, Ontario. It began in 1911 as the Evangelical Lutheran Seminary of Canada. In 1924 Waterloo College was established, providing courses in post-secondary education. In 1960 Waterloo College became Waterloo Lutheran University, and in 1973 changed its name to Wilfrid Laurier University.
