- Description
- Skidding is described as the act of pulling felled logs out of the bush either with oxen or later horses which proved to be a better choice for handling abilities. Some horses proved very adept at their jobs and knew what was expected with little to no direction from their handlers. The horses were well cared for as the logger depended on them to get the logs from the cutting sites to the rivers and eventually the mills.
