Page 3, News, Tuesday, July 16, 1991 Funding for Environmental Youth Corps The Terrace Bay District of the Ministry of Natural Resources has_ received $85,781.95 in funding for nine Environmental Youth Corps projects. These Environmental Youth Corps projects, a program of the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, vary from trail brushing to assisting in the operation of local parks and employ 39 youths. The projects will be completed by October 31, 1991. The following organizations have received this funding for their projects; Rossport Islands Management Board, Neys Provincial Park, Marathon Cross Country Ski Club, Marathon Lion's' Club, Marathon Sno-Kickers Club, Pic 50 Heron Bay Band, Manitouwadge Cross Country Ski Club. The objectives of the 90th birthday for Clancy Mayo Clancy Mayo holds up his birthday cake just before his 90 th birthday celebrations at Birchwood Terrace on Monday, July 8. Mr. Mayo was involved in building Terrace Bay and the mill. Currently a resident of Terrace Bay were he is close to family members Mr. Mayo has lived in Kakabeka Falls and on Vancouver Island.
