JOHN'S EMERGENCY FIRST AID Date: Saturday, February 10th, 1990 Time: 8:30 A.M. - 4:30 P.M. Where: Conference Room DEADLINE TO REGIS- TER: February 3, 1990 Cathy will be conducting this one-day workshop,' with Certification at the end of this program. Topics covered will be wounds and bleeding, choking, shock and unconscious, artificial respiration, and fractures. KIDS KRAFTS - SPRING & EASTER Date: March 29th - April 14th, 1990. Time: 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. Where: High School DEADLINE TO REGIS- TER: March 22nd, 1990. Jeff will teach this 4-week pro- gram in Spring and Easter Crafts. This class is limited to 20, so sign up early to avoid disappointment. LEARN TO SKATE We are presently taking names for a Learn To Skate program for children. Participants will learn to skate forwards, backwards and stop. Classes will be held on Monday or Wednesday, in the morning or afternoon, if there is sufficient interest. DOWNHILL SKI PACK- AGE We are offering this four-week tour to Loch Lomond in Thunder Bay, starting on February 11th through to March 4th. For more information on this program, please contact the Recreation Office at 825-3542. BABYSITTING This 7-day program is designed to provide training for babysitters in child care, child behaviour and safety. This pro- gram will also outline the obliga- tions and rights of babysitters and employers. This class is open to boys and girls 11 years of age and over. DANCE FOR HEART The Terrace Bay Recreation Department in co-operation with the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be hosting their 4th Annual Dance for Heart Program. This year's DANCE FOR HEART will be held on Thursday, February 15th. Anyone 16 years of age and older interested in participating can pick up registration forms at the Recreation Office. All proceeds will be donated to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, so support a dancer to-day. LADIES VOLLEYBALL Anyone interested in playing TERRACE BAY RECREATION DEPARTMENT DANCE FOR HEART The Terrace Bay Recreation Department in co-operation with the Heart & Stroke Foundation will be hosting their 4th Annual DANCE FOR HEART DATE: THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 15th, 1990 TIME: 6:30 P.M. - 9:30 P.M. PLACE: Lake Superior Highschool Gym Those wishing to participate can pick-up pledge forms at the Recreation Office. TROPHY SHOWCASE A new trophy showcase has recently been installed in the Main Lobby at the Recreation Centre. We are looking for any trophics in the community that can be put on display. We are experiencing rapid growth in this program. Registration deadline for the next session is Friday, March 9th. Due to the limited gym time available to this program we are forced to put a limit on the number of reg- istrations for the remaining ses- sions. If you wish to register for the next session we suggest you do it as soon as possible. FIRST AID AND CPR COURSE Dates for these two very popu- lar courses have been finalized. The 8 hour Emergency First Aid Course will be held on Saturday, April 21st from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The CPR Course will be held on Saturday, April 28th from 9:00 to 5:00 pm. Both courses have limited space so register as early as possi- ble. AEROBICS We are now accepting registra- tions for the next session of Aerobics which will commence on Tuesday March 6th and run to Thursday, April 12th. Classes are offered in both the afternoon and evening. The afternoon session runs from 1:30 to 2:30 and O2, aye evenings from 7:30 to 8:30 in the community hall of the recreation centre. Deadline to register is Friday, March 2nd. Register by calling 824-2317. We are also still accepting names for an "Over 40" Aerobic class. If interested please contact the recreation officc at 824-2317. ADULT ERO OM DANCE We did not reccive sufficient registrations for this program scheduled for January 20th and 21st, however we have resched- uled the course for Saturday and Sunday, April 7th and 8th. This program promises to be exciting with the participants learning the steps of the Fox Trot, Waltz, Polka and touching on the Jive.
