The fundraising was to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association all along the North Shore. Teniuk said the pledges and donations haven't been added up yet but that they should have a total in a few weeks. He noted that the trip was video-taped and said, "we're hop- ing to air it on channel 13 once it has been edited." He mentioned the total distance from Copper Harbour to Terrace Bay is 155 km and not 177 km as the Coast Guard had told them. In all, Teniuk skied a total of 78.4 km. He said the organizers will get together in the next few wecks to determine if the attempt will be made again. "It won't be tried again this year though," he said.
