This program takes place on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. The class is designed to build strength, increase flexibility and improve cardio vascular fitness with a low intensity/high duration aerobics workout. Fitness for Fun Exercise can be enjoyable when a participant registers for this exercise class which is held in the mornings three times a week. The program consists of warm ups, non impact aerobics, body exercises, stretches and cool downs. The program takes place every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. For more information or to reg- ister please call the Recreation Office at 825-3542. Coffee and do-nuts were served. Coffee mug mystery winners were Susan Singer, Mrs. Lake and Georgette Cebrario. The puzzle contests held with the assistance of the elementary schools were won by Curtis Hart and Rhonda Larivee. These events took place during Public Library Week, October 17- 23, 1988. The Library board meeting took place October 19th. Prior to the meeting retiring board member Norah McGuire was the guest of board members at a dinner at Rosie's and Josie's. Norah, who was on the board for 24 years, will be greatly missed. Every good wish goes with her and her family in their new home on St. Joseph's Island. The Saturday Story Hour group under Suzanne Currie and Kathy Wiseman held a Halloween mas- querade party. The children enjoyed games and treats: Amber Pennyfeather has been hired as Story Hour Consultant for the pre-school Wednesday group. There are 15 children enrolled for stories, crafts, songs and finger- plays. ~ The Assertiveness Training Workshop previously scheduled for October 31st has been rescheduled for Monday, November 14th, from 1:30 to 3:30 in the library.
