In response to this pro- blem, the program called 'Be Bike Smart' is being actively promoted by the Society to reduce the number of disabling and fatal bicycle accidents, the release from the Society's Public Relations Officer Marlene Cullen in Toron- to added. Canada has 8 million cyclists and more than 3 million of them are child- ren. Children can learn the proper use and care of their bikes and the importance of wearing protective gear. The Easter Seal Society is.a charitable organization speaking and acting on be- half of 6,800 physically challenged youngsters and their families. It was formed in 1922 by 10 service clubs and today that volunteer base has grown to 235 affiliated clubs across the province.
