Page 2, Terrace Bay-Schreiber News, Wednesday, February 26, 1986 Prices concern Penner Cochrane-Superior Member of Parliament Keith Penner rose in the House of Commons recent- ly on behalf of the people of Northern Ontario to complain about the high prices of gasoline in the northern half of the province. 'The people of northern Ontario are outraged because the prices for gasoline remain at an all- time high at the same time that world oil prices are falling very dramatically ,"' Penner told the House. However, at the end of last week, consumers in Western Canada were pay- ing just over 42 cents a litre for regular gasoline, while the cheapest price for gas in Terrace Bay at the same time was approximately 58 cents a litre. Ringette tourney held The Schreiber Ringette Club held its first Ringette Tournament on February | and 2, a club news release announced. A total of 12 teams were entered in two divisions. The championship on the Tween side went. to Geraldton over Rural Thunder Bay, while Ter- race Bay won the consola- tion final over Schreiber Tweens. Nipigon took the Belle Championship over Ter- race Bay. In the consola- tion game, Schreiber lost to Geraldton.
