Mixology We are presently at- tempting to set this short course up on a Saturday before Christ- mas. Mixology is the art of mixing mixed drinks. Exact details will be published as soon as they are available. Possible New Courses for Winter/Spring 1984 Paper Tole (Beginner and Advanced) A successful Paper Tole workshop for be- ginners was recently held in Terrace Bay. Those who took this 1 day course and would like to advance their skills are encouraged to submit their names for the next course. Be- ginners are also wel- come, as 2 separate pro- jects will be offered. Paper Tole is the beauti- ful art of creating a picture with a 3 dimen- sional effect, by cutting and layering identical prints. Art from the Oven Here is an exciting and inexpensive way to create your own decora- tions for home and gifts for gift giving. Every- thing you need to mold and shape your own works of art are right there in your kitchen. Bread dough sculpture is an age old art form and now has become imaginative and _per- sonalized! We will be sculpting figures, dres- sing them and applying the finishing touches. This is a S hour work- shop and will most likely be held for 2 hours on'a Friday evening and 3 hours on Saturday. Sign up early as we have indication that this will be a very popular work- shop. Microwave III Our Microwave Cook- ing courses with Corry DeVries have been very popular, due to the in- crease of microwave ovens in the home. We hope to bring Corry back for another course next spring. Advanced tech- niques will be taught at this time, and although we do not have a course outline yet, it is felt that beginners will also benefit from this work- shop. So all you ladies (and men!) who hope to get a microwave oven this Christmas, let us know if you would like to take this short course and learn some delicious recipes. hospitalization. Silver Cross Mother named Mrs. Constance Wylie, of Vancouver, British Columbia, has been chosen as The Silver Cross Mother, at- tending The Remem- brance Day Ceremony at The National War Memorial in Ottawa. During the Ceremony, she will lay a wreath on behalf of Canadian Motherhood. Mrs. Wylie is 80 years of age. Mrs. Wylie's son, Lloyd, was killed in action near Pusan on March 7, 1951.
