A credit on the vali- dated time left on a current regular plate sticker can be obtained by returning the old plates when registering the own choice plates. Old style own choice plates (Personalized three-letter, three- numeral combination) are credited for $25 by the ministry towards a new set of 'own choice' plates if turned in before Sant I 1983, One-man slasher Northern Engineer- ing and Supply Co. Ltd. President Mills Paton has announced the sale, through Degagne and Niskanen Equipment Sales, of Nesco's first one-man mobile Slash- er. The One-man ma- chine, for use in the forest industry, sorts, cuts and stacks pulp- wood and sawlogs in 8 and 16 foot lengths. With the development of a system of live rollers which automatically position logs in front of the sawblades, the Nesco Slasher has a shorter cycle time which will increase productiv- ity over other compata- ble machines by SO per cent. Frank Charles, an. in- dependent cutter from Pinewood, Ontario, has purchased the first unit Terrace Bay host Economic Development seminar Terrace Bay will be hosting an Economic Development Seminar on September 9th and it is hoped that everyone who has a concern in this regard, will attend. Handy Tips Want your dog's coat to put a nice shine on it, mix about 1 teaspoon of vitalie in a cup of water and spray it on your dog's coat every third day and after every bath, and brush it in well. Extra shower cur- tain hooks make good hangers for belts and Save space in your clo- set. Avoid expensive air fresheners by soaking cotton balls in winter- green oil and placing them throughout the house. tional Machines, which require 3 people to oper- ate, are expensive and are usually affordable only by the larger paper companies. With small independent operators becoming a major force in the forest industry, the less expensive one- man mobile slasher pro- duced by Nesco over- comes the problems of manpower and cost. With the excellent re- ception of the new ma- chine, two more one- man Slashers are cur- rently in production at Nesco's Thunder Bay plant to be completed in September. Misc.
