The recreation de- partment has been ap- proached with the sug- gestion of organizing a Slow Pitch League for men in the community, who are 18 years or older and not planning ®n participating in the fastball league. There will be an open meeting 'on April 20th at 7:00 p-m. in the Conference Room to discuss the for- mation of a league and to accept names and zens. The exact times are: April 28th - 7-9 p.m.; April 29th - 7-9 p.m.; April 30th - 10-12 p.m.; May 1st - 10-12 p.m.; May 2nd - 1-9 p.m. The clinic will cover the following topics: Proper Nutrition, Flexi- bility, Weight Lifting, Body Building. This course is open to boys or girls from the age of 10 to 16 years. Cost for the clinic will be $12.00. The maximum number of -- persons allowed in the clinic is 15 and the minimum is 10. Multi-Cultural Associa- tion for Terrace Bay area The enthusiasm was tremendous at the first meeting to discuss the formation of a Multi- Cultural Association for Terrace Bay and area. Representatives from Thunder Bay were pre- sent and answered many questions relating to what a Multi-cultural 'Association is, can do, why, and for who? There will be another meeting open to the Public on April 14th in the Multi- Purpose Room at the Terrace Bay Recreation Centre at 7:00 p.m. In- terested in learning more about this exciting association make an ef- fort and attend. Schreiber North Stars The Schreiber North Stars had a very suc- cessful 1982/1983 hockey season. Five North Stars have been selected to be Ontario representatives at the Canada Games Camp. The team members are: Mark Campbell, Brian Hiller, George Hermes, Jeff Fortier, Larry Ross, Brent Mills and Joe Speziale. Coach Kevin Duguay said, "Brent Mills was selected twice as game Most Valuable Player for the TBAHA All Star Team. Joe Speziale was selected once as game MVP for the TBAHA All Star Team. Both players drew considerable at- tention from hockey scouts for their out- standing play and hock- ey expertise."
